About Bowling Green Farm

Bowling Green Farm is a 10th generation family farm located in Howard County Maryland.  We milk approximately 100 Holstein Dairy Cows who have access to pasture all day, every day.  We raise our cows from calves and do NOT use BST hormones.

  Recently we teamed up with a Pennsylvania cheese maker who takes our milk and turns it into fresh, delicious cheese.  Because he is a small cheese maker we have the flexibility of changing the varieties of cheese available to meet the needs of our customers.  Varieties we have made in the past include Cheddar, Tomato Basil Cheddar, Dill Farmer, Colby, Swiss and some delicious soft spreads including Chesapeake Spread and Red Wine Spread.

Nothing makes our day like a kind word from a customer. We've had people tell us that their finicky eaters love our cheese, and while we can't say if the cheese is actually helping the Ravens records we do know its been served at lots of Ravens parties.  One of our earliest customers took the time to send a note saying "Your friendliness and enthusiasm for your product was refreshing.  We just found that the taste and texture of your cheddar was in keeping with that attitude - a wonderful product at a fair price"!!
